Whilst contacting the police about a lost mobile phone the answerphone message mentioned that the public could register identifiable objects (items with serial numbers, frame numbers etc.) on the National Property Register at [url= http://www.immobilise.com/ ]immobilise.com[/url] which should aid the police in returning stolen property. I've had a look and this looks to be the case (I'm thinking of registering the frame numbers of our bikes).
Do anyone else use this system and is there a catch (it looks like a commercial company rather than a police/governmental organisation); it seems a good idea in principle.
