And if so did it make you dizzy?
Yes, and no.
Take it for back and knee pain, on demand. Not as good for me as diclofenac, but they don't prescribe that easily now.
I took it for a couple if weeks / month when I had hip surgery. No side affects at all. Cannot remember the dose though, so may not be of any use.
I used it once. i decided to get all cheffy in the kitchen once and sliced the very tip of a finger off on a Mandolin. It was the absolute most painful thing I have ever experienced by a long long way. After a few day's of being in constant excrutiaing pain that the usual painkillers in my medicine cupboard didn't even touch, I begged the doctor for a pain killer and he gave me this stuff. I used it for about 5 days and didn't notice any side effects at all. Not sure how effective it was. I still suffered a lot of pain over that 5 days until it started to ease off. It maybe just took the edge of the pain for a time.
I have
No, it didn't
Not that common, I'd say, though it is on the list
(Just dizzy; nothing else ?)
Yep use it frequently for inflammation in my rotator cuff, the only side effect I get is stomach upset if I take it for more than 4 or 5 days.
Thanks all
Only been taking it since Friday so seems a bit early for side effects but woke up this morning and feel decidedly wobbly - can't put it down to anything else but it could just be a coincidence
I'm taking it for lower back pain mainly for anti-inflammatory effect
I've been on it for 6 weeks and suffered no side effects. I'm not convinced it's that effective but it is supposedly better for you than brufen.
been on it for years now not sure if it does anything except irritate my stomach . no dizziness that i can remember ever
Same been on it for years also not sure it does anything.
Did they give you anything to stop gut rot? Omeprazole is what I have to take in conjunction
Was up to a few weeks ago and yes and yes. Normally from bending down and standing up quickly but Nortriptyline did that as well. If it does upset your stomach go back to the doctors and they give you something to take with it.
Mate at work was diagnosed with Colitis this year and has took Naproxen on and off for a bad back and the first thing the specialist said was to immediately stop taking Naproxen and under no circumstances to take it again. Mate said the specialist just said it is evil on the stomach.
I was taking it for tennis elbow which it didn't seem to help but nor has the cortisone injection.
Just been taking it for an episode of Gout In my foot, it helped with this but created a bad stomach during the night, also my appetite has been reduced with a bloating feeling, not taking it now thank goodness.
I was prescribed after I fell skiing and hart my neck/shoulder and was fine.
Used some 'leftovers' after doing my back in and felt really weird/spaced out. I've avoided it since.
I had a 6-week course of it for migraine a few years ago, and since then I've taken it now and then for migraine and it irritates my stomach too, so I use it sparingly. Never had dizziness on it though.
I have had it in the past and gave me a mildly pissed type feeling which was quite pleasant.
Also have had Zapain which give me massive chest pain if I take more than one so that try to about d them.
I had loads of side effects - never had issues with anything else before but didn't think much of it until I started having issues with my vision, dizziness and started hallucinating. Checked out the list and thought I was going to die.
Still have a box. Not sure why.
Yes take it for Subarcomial impingement in my shoulder and helps with my right knee also.
Felt a bit odd not dizzy for a week and now it has reduced a sharp ache in shoulder and knees to hardly any pain.
Been on it for 6 months.
Been taking 1000mg a day for 2 years, sometimes get dizzy 3 or 4 times a day then nothing for weeks, normally when standing up quickly though!
It does my stomach no good at all!
Mrs Sandwich had full on hallucinations on it. She stopped and moved to another drug.
I took Naproxen for lower back pain for about 6 months prior to a back operation last year. 500mg twice a day with food. Definitely gave me wobbly spells and a slight light-headed feel at times.
I had to take a fair amount for a shoulder injury - over duration of about 8 months. Took it with stomach lining pills as recommended by doctor. No funny spells (that I was aware of!). But, because I was concerned about the high levels I was taking I researched about side effects. Scared me a little. It's really strong stuff that if you take too much can really screw up your liver and rot your stomach.. Be careful with it...
My interpretation of high levels (for when I researched side effects) was between 500mg and 1000mg a day depending on need...
