Hi all,

I'm looking for a replacement buckle/ratchety thing on my Shimano SH-M087L shoes. Don't really want to buy new shoes when it's only the ratchet that needs sorting. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I don't seem to be able to upload an image but hoping you know what I mean.

SJS have them listed but sold out. I have a pair of shoes with the buckles at home, hardly worn, so the buckles still fully functioning (I hated the faff of those buckle things) - I'll stick the shoes in the post for the price of postage - probably about £4 with Evri, which is cheaper than the replacement buckles. Lemme know if interested

Try Vinted - I got a pair of similar Shimanos for about £10 which were fully functional, would probably work out cheaper than buying a new ratchet even if you can find one.

It looks like this (it's more of a L shape so not sure the replacement buckle form SJS would work)

I remember buying a pair of these ratchet straps from SJS about 10 years ago, later I saw them for sale in Evans bike shop in Edinburgh, but I don't recall seeing them on their website.

Please be a little more descriptive with your thread titles, I clicked expecting something a little more 'Embarrassing Bodies'

I replaced the ratchets on my Giro Terraduro shoes recently, but it was a bit of a struggle, ratchets seem to have fallen out of favour and stock was hard to find. I think I eventually found some Scott ratchets that were compatible. If I remember I'll look out the links I found this evening.
