Glorious conditions (if chuffin' cold after the water splashes)

I did the 10km, finished just under my 2-hour target.

One of the hardest physical things I've ever done. I'll probably be back next year 🙂

Did you do it in fancy dress? 😀

To my shame, no. Not organised enough. 🙁
We did do it in the company football shirts (company paid for entry so can't complain)

Next year, I'm doing it in a kilt, if I can get one in Northumberland tartan..

A few friends of mine run it every year, although not sure what their costumes were this year! I remember riding at Innerleithen the day after a few years ago and there were t-shirts, shoes, feather boas and all sorts scattered up the climb 😀

I worked on it, mainly at the last swampy tunnel by the bridge.. under two hours is a great time!

And it was super chuffin cold after 10 pm when the last ones came in...

ooh, the swampy tunnel. Sends shivers down my spine (all the way to my shrivelled 'nads)
As cool as it was looking back and seeing the lights on the hillside, I did pity the poor buggers trotting in as I was warm and dry and eating a burger.

Started but dropped out half way. I've run it every year, but have had a chest infection for two weeks and was struggling to breathe between the coughing fits. Made myself useful, though, ended up subbing in as an extra photographer for the R&R guys, if you came in after 7:30, I was the snapper on the finish line!
