Just wondering what the turnaround was.

Thanks!

Yep, under 3 weeks. And it would have been quicker had I not had to wait a few days to get to the post office and send my old one back.

Yep, did mine recently. Turned around really quickly and efficiently. There was a warning about my photo being a bit dark but it was obviously deemed OK by a human.

As above, only delay was me getting to the post office to get the old one sent back. About three weeks in total. Shame the new one is a different colour though.

Did mine last month, 11 days from posting my old one to getting the new one and that's to and from Norway! I was amazed how quick it was after all the warnings and news horror stories.

3 weeks, applied online first week of the strikes. Posted the old passport perhaps 3 days after applying. Plesently surprised at how simple it was, in the past I recall all sorts of issues with printed out photos and getting ID signed.

Yup, me and missus (with her changing from maiden to married name). Got photos done at booth in supermarket. This gives you a code which you use on the gov.uk website and it finds your pic. Waaaay less faff.

Sent off and returned within about 10 days a few weeks back. In fairness, very impressed

I was very disappointed last time I renewed my passport. Some clod at the passport office obviously had a mixup and stuck a photo of some old ugly bloke in my passport. Luckily none of the border guards seem to have noticed as I've used it quite a few times since...

Mine took about four weeks but would have been quicker if a) they hadn't lost my old passport, and b) rejected the initial photo. Once I sent in a new photo I had the new passport within 48h.

Daughter's was turned round in a fortnight.

+1 the booth 'approves' the photo or keeps trying till it does.

About 2-3 weeks, uploaded photo off phone - had to go and do it again as the web page didn't like my first attempt.

When we had our passport photos taken we were told that it could take up to 10 weeks due to delays, strikes etc..

Mine was a straight forward renewal, took 2 weeks from them reciving my old passport and application to my new one arriving

The wife's one was a change of surname, that took 3 weeks

The boy's one one was a brand new application, which took 4 weeks

That's pretty good considering they are striking!

Well I went to the Post Office last Thursday and used their "lets do it all for you" service got the "Old Passport received" this Monday so lets see how it all pans out. Not really bothered till September but would be nice to have sooner.

Yep. This week. Renewal. Photo done electronically at the post office. Application electronically. Posted old one off and passport dropped through letterbox within 6 days (inc weekend). Still picking myself up off the floor.

I ought to, but I’m not sure where my old one is, but it’s keeping my birth certificate company at the moment, wherever they are…

I had my photo done at the Post Office last time my driver’s license needed updating, when I got it back the photo was utter rubbish, so pale and washed-out I’m barely recognisable!
I’ve just got my concessionary bus pass back, using a photo I took myself on my phone - is vastly better, so as soon as I can track down my old passport, I’ll be providing the same photo. Then my driver’s licence.

Yep, I needed it renewed for work, and in a rush, so paid for the speedy service, picking it up at Durham office.

It took a few goes for my photo to be acceptable by the robot behind the scenes.

3 days from online application to fresh passport picked up. I could have got it the next day if I wanted, but I didn't have time to get to PP office on that day.

11 days just before the strike set in. I expect that the timings will slip once the strikers return to work and those that are currently holding off send in their renewals.

Less than two weeks from when they received my old passport, new one arrived this week. The Wife took a photo on a mobile in decent light.

The only issue is that it’s very dark blue and not an EU one.

Think she'll be fine Moly, only worry is my passport seems to have the picture of a bloke just off the front line fighting against the russians! Let's just say I don't want to meet this bloke on my own as he looks like he's ready to kill 😮
