You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Looks like i might be loaned a Bursner Lyseo for a fortnight when i come to England.
Ideally i would like to bring my bike. I won't have access to a rack, so would want to keep it in the van ... preferably without having to pack it in a bag every day.
I've never driven a motorhome before, let alone seen how much space is in this particular model. Anyone know if it's practical? Any tips or things to consider? (aside from keeping the bike as clean as possible before loading it).
I just googled the van, no issue idea about the model range and layout options but it looks like it has a garage so it would probably go on wheels off.
If it doesn't have a garage, it can be quite tight getting a bike in the main living (with my self build I can just about get it in by rolling it through the door backwards with the rear wheel up in the air near the ceiling) but once it's in you can't get from the front to the back, and the bike is incredibly effective at slipping whilst driving even if I loop an adjacent seatbelt around it and then gouging the woodwork!
If I need to go a long way with more bikes than will fit in the garage, I tend to take the wheels off and put it on the double bed at the back with some old sheets under it.
Also the two examples of the Burstner I looked at were over 3500kg so they are either built to that weight or it's a popular upgrade, so check your driving license.
Thanks for the response. It's a 590 i think. Doesn't look like a garage is there unfortunately. Might be needing some old sheets, etc.
My licence goes up to C1 so should be ok.
