I've always fancied it, and with winter on the way thought it might be another way to keep the brain active. I found a good site that takes you through the basics. Seems quite simple to learn the rules of but far more complex to try and master.
Are there any good apps for the I-Pad that you'd recommend? Would like to get to grips with the basics before losing to a human.
Only on a physical board. Games can take longer than anticipated.
Simple to learn, difficult to master is the perfect description for the game.
theres loads of apps on the App Store -many free with the opportunity to upgrade. I have one called smartgo which is pretty customisable for inexperienced players (like me).
many of the apps have ‘gomoku’ as the name but that’s also used by some who use the board and tiles for a version of 5 in a row so you might just have to load them up and see what suits you.
Cheers. I had a look on the British Go Association website and they also have a few suggestions. Ta.
