I know, I know, I'm basically an axe murderer.

I'm looking for a particular sized standing deck. 120cm x 80cm. Tonnes of 120x 60 but I need the extra depth (oh,er) to move the monitor back on the table a bit. I've found a couple on Amazon but I've delayed ordering in case the price moves. I'm not hopeful though, I've not bought anyone on Amazon Prime Day for years to be honest.

What are my fellow axe murderers looking for? Apart from axes.

I'll check the electric toothbrush pricing because the last thread about them convinced me I should look to get one. I'll also check my 'wish list' to see if the couple of bits on there have been reduced at all.

Lots of sellers have the motorised bit separately, with adjustable width.  Then just buy a wooden / MDF top of your choice from say IKEA or local timber / kitchen unit supplier.

A lot of 'prime days' are simply discounting unpopular or slow moving stock, so it's daft to just browse in the hope of finding a random bargain (most of the time).

As the OP wants something specific then find a few varients of what you want, add them to your wishlist/save for later, or whatever it's called.., and check them again on deal day/week.

I actually got a really good deal on a silent night matress... but as always.. always look for the same thing/same model elsewhere to compare prices... just because amazon have reduced something from £200 to £100, doesn't mean it sells for more than about about £100 all year round via other retailers.

Yep, that was a solution I looked at but it's a bit of a pain at the moment as I'm car less.

Yep, that's my cunning plan! Lol I'm not expecting a deal on the ones I'm looking at to be honest but we'll see.

Yep, that bad boy is one of the ones on my list. Glad to hear it's given you no issues. Is the wooden top a one piece affair? The cheapest ones use dowels to hold sections together.

Cheers!

Yes, the top is 1 piece. It's been bomb proof, really well made. Excellent bit of kit and easy to put together.
I've just looked and I paid £280 which I still think was value for money.

I quite fancy a decent set of over ear headphones, but only if the price is right.
I've been very very impressed with Anker Soundcore stuff. I prefer the Sundcore Liberty 4 NC ear buds to some much pricier Samsung Buds Pro2 that I also have.
So would like some of the Soundcore Q45s probably.

Bastard. (-:

was looking to get some noise cancelling headphones

I started a thread recently asking about headphones, then immediately went and bought some anyway so asked for the thread to be closed.  I bought Soundcore earbuds and they are astonishingly good for the price, I cannot recommend them highly enough.  Noise cancelling is handled in software, so you can have NC for on the train or Transparent for when your partner is talking to you.  (Or you can have noise cancelling for when your partner is talking to you...)  There's a routine which claims to analyse your ear canal which is surely a gimmick, but it goes "does this sound better than that?" and sets up the EQ accordingly.

Damned good at accidently setting your hands alight more than once during Covid though, when I used it before lighting a gas hob.

For a split second I couldn't work out what my hand had a faint blue aura around it, I just assumed I was holy... Till the heat registered.

Gah! The Flexisport standing table has just dropped price the second Prime day hit £50... It already had a £50 voucher deal on it too... But it's in all black. I didn't want that colour!

£100 off though, making it the same price as a cheap and nasty one I was also eyeing up! Sods law, normally anything im interesting in never drops in price.

A good deal on this multifunction charging/data cable, it comes in 15cm and 30cm lengths. I’ve had one on my desk for a while and it’s handy for all the crap I have to charge up, no issues with build quality unlike the cheap knockoffs

The josephjoseph sink caddy is the cheapest I've seen it in the 2 years it's been sat in my wishlist.

Other than that there's nothing screaming out to me as a bargain. Most things in my wishlist are the same price as usual but with a "prime deals"  red logo next to them.

I'm looking at a Amazon fire 4K dongle, which is down to it's normal cheap price (can be had cheaper if your willing to wait) but the Amazon fire stick (std) is just £16.99 which is the cheapest it's ever been (buy as an awesome christmas stocking filler?)

As for Chewkw's IT Duster CompuClearner being down from £50 to £40, that's the price we paid 4 years ago.. why the **** are they more expensive now and not cheaper?

Decent price reductions on both Eufy security cameras and Honeywell Evohome controller, both of which I've been looking out for and waited until Prime day for.
Not enough to go buy one, but if you're in the market for such things then Prime days / Black Friday likely to be some of the cheaper times to buy

Damn you Amazon, damn you to hell!

That's how it's supposed to work.

a) clear out the version no one is buying

b) clear out your bank account before some other annual event does.

Prime day - buy stuff before the winter holidays wipe you out

Black Friday - same but last attempt

January sales - clearing out any spare cash before you realize January payday is a log time off.

Summer sales - you've not been on holiday yet have you, how about spending those savings on a new sofa?

I'd say relatively normal, possibly on the narrow side. I've got fairly narrow feet, often need additional/thicker insoles in many shoes, but not in those. Sizing fairly normal too: I'm a solid UK11 in those but vary between EU46-47 in Shimano SPDs for example.

It’s possible to sideload Playstore. Been years since I’ve done it, but a quick google would see you right. I’m hardly the most techie person out there and I found it easy enough

My OH bought the Apple air pods shown a few posts up. Seems a good price.

I've just bought an 11sp Di2 XT 8050 SGS rear mech for £127, although not sure it was in the Prime deals.

Cheapest previously was Merlin @ £150, so if it is genuine, a bit of a bargain it seems.
