MrsKenny has always fancied seeing Glen Affric in the autumn (actually she wants to see New England in the fall but I'm too skint) so I'm thinking about us heading up that way in October.
If you're living up that way, are the trees starting to turn already, or would late October maybe be better?
Cheers.
In Dingwall. Trees are turning.
When I went to pick up the wife after work there was a blizzard of leaves. (Bit windy)
This was 3rd November 2015
I'm up in Glenshiel at the moment and no sign of the trees turning. My walk on Thursday should allow me to look down into Glen Affric if the cloud isn't too low. I'll have a look for you!
Lovely, cheers guys. Much appreciated.
Wondered if they'd be turning a bit earlier this year after the hot summer.
Colours are definitely starting to change in Inverness.
They're turning in peebles they may st be more advance further north.
We're still a couple of weeks off our annual Dunkeld, Pitlochry and Rannoch trip to go and wander through the autumnal colours, but it is a week or so ahead of itself.
On s side issue - can anyone not see those photos I posted?
Not showing for me
Can't see them
I can't see them, just no entry sign in grey.
I can't see them now but I could when you first posted them.
Google Photos is still playing silly buggers then...
On the iPad I get a no entry sign, on the iMac there's nothing there even if I try and highlight your post.

I can see the photos now too. Ta for all the nice we will go up early rather than late October. Am up in Ballater just now and things seem to be turning here.
After having been blown off my feet a few times on Thursday, I finally got a look into Affric yesterday. Trees are just about starting to turn, I'd give it a couple of weeks.
Go now. I was up and down the Great Glen today and it's stunning.
