Depends what you are looking for & where on the island! The supply of self-catering is reducing as are the "budget" hotels. I used to live there and still have contacts if you need more info.

Have a look at Premier Inn. They are building one at the moment which should be open by then. Right in the middle of the main town.
Plenty of choice but I don't think there are many budget options these days...
