Rees howarth in Ambleside? My partner bought something off Facebook Market place , he took money and hasn't sent goods
At the risk of sounding unsympathetic - err, what did you expect?
How did you pay? If it was PayPal you might have some protection but only if you didn't gift it. If you did a bank transfer and ignored all the warning messages that you get when you do a payment these days then I'm afraid you are probably out of luck. Try contacting your bank or credit card company though...
Report it to Action Fraud.
Did you use the Facebook checkout? They do offer some protection I believe if you use their system.
Suggest you and your partner read the below thoroughly and take note of what it says.

I can only see one Rees Howarth on Facebook, no profile photo.
He's rees ch on facebook
There's a few Rees Ch 's on Facebook, none of which have profiles that I'd buy from. Tricky to tell of course but, I'd be inclined to say it's a scam.
Depending on value and how you paid, I'd be making moves to try recover my money.
If it was bank transfer, all is not lost as you can advise the bank you think it was a fraudulent transaction and they may contact the bank you paid it into which could freeze their account. This happened to me, although the scammer was the buyer trying to say they haven't received it when I had evidence they had.
If the seller is genuine, the above will be a pain in the arse and they will sort it out. If they are a scammer, the bank account is probably already cleared / shut down etc so won't make much difference.
Good call thanks
I m selling stuff on mktplace, soon as u mention cash and face to face 90% disappear. I look at buyers profile, friend lists are the giveaway.
