Can't find it in Eurosport schedules anywhere or any other channels? Love watching it so will be a shame if it's not on.

All I could find last Dakar was the Red Bull TV highlights - but they are pretty short, much shorter than the old Eurosport ones used to be. Although you didn't have to cope with Carlton Kirby.

Cheers, I always forget I have RB tv available, will give it a try (quite liked Carlton's ramblings 🙂 )

iirc 2 years ago the RB coverage was quite good, but then massively chopped down last year. Hopefully better again this time round

Was it last winter that the Eurosport coverage contained more glossy advertising for Saudi than actual coverage of cars, bikes and trucks?

One of the best motorsports events with the worst coverage.

It's a shame that all the manufacturers spend millions but the event gets so little exposure.

There are lots of clips on YouTube but quite difficult to know what's going on due to lack of commentary.

There was a facinating behind the scenes look of the Prodrive HQ on Howard Davies Youtube channel which showed some of the Dakar cars they are entering, released last evening.

The photography is aways excellent on Eurosport

The logistics are huge they do a reasonable job considering cars and bikes spread out over such vast distances in remote landscape.

The Saudi adverts are annoying.

I tend to record coverage anyway.

Go Pro footage has helped over the years as well.

Yes I cannot really understand why teams and companies spend so much for so little publicity.

Epic landscape, the skills, the endurance, esp for the privateers,  the crashes, the drama and characters...it is made for TV.

I'm actually going to saudi in a few days to work on dakar coverage, but it's a podcast rather than traditional coverage - check out "in the dust" on RBTV and Spotify in the new year !

Had been half thinking of going over to watch live as I have a lot of experience of normal rallies, but knowing my luck I would walk 10 miles into the desert and watch them go past on the horizon…

But I’m sure it’d be a brilliant experience.

The RedBull TV coverage seems to be non-existent - although they've spent a fortune on a lovely air-conditioned studio. Fortunately there is a 10 minute highlights show on YouTube - better than nothing for those of us who don't pay for Eurosport.
