Looking for a super-king bed, ideally wooden-framed and (ideally well)under £1000.

Lots of nice Kingsize options at places like Habitat/Made/John Lewis - but fewer super-kings

Dreams and other standard high street sites all have pretty gash offerings.

There's no way I'd be buying a bed off the Web, it's something I'd want to lie on first to try out. You spend a third of your life using a bed, not something I'd want to guess at.

IMO the bed (frame/duvan etc) has far less significance than the matress. I have a matress in mind, i'm just looking for the bed frame

Ah, fair enough. That makes a lot more sense.

We got a bed frame from oak furniture solutions earlier this year (along with a couple of bedside tables).
I think they have some Super King Size frames.

We went for a double and it was delivered quickly, well packaged, easy to put together & very well made.
I'd definitely buy from them again.

Wasn't cheap and a bit more than I wanted to spend on the bedframe but their quality and designs made it worth the money. It was under the OP's budget, just.

Have a look at the natural bed company in Sheffield.
We went for a look and got one built up to our spec.
It wasn't cheap but it is well put together and though out.

I got a bed, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets. Nicely put together stuff in solid oak. Deep Mammoth sports mattress on top. Do check your bed is level as round here nobody has flat floors and you have to be a bit inventive to guarantee the best (and level) night's sleep.
