As above really.

Decided to punt for Sky including the HD option.
The package comes with a free Sky HD Box but you can upgrade to a 1TB box for £150.

Quoting a sky engineer from a previous thread they only difference between the standard and the 1TB version is the hard drive size and the colour of the front panel.

So anyone put a new HDD in? Is it just a case of swapping them over or does firmware etc need moving over as well?

Also anyone know if theres a restriction on the size that can be used? I have a couple of 2TB drive kicking about I could use.

I've done it previously with a non-HD model using the Copy+ software

Yep, just bunged a new disk in. Not formatted or anything. Didn't think of trying to copy the old stuff over, we just used it up in the week or two before replacing the disk.

Cheers zippy

Flaperon - Did you litterally just swap the disks out? Did you not have to format it or partion it in anyway?
Also what size disk did you put in?
