Dave, if you're out there, if you can hear me, I just want to say, that I am utterly and morbidly sorry for this terrible misunderstanding. I never meant you any harm, certainly never meant to cast any aspersions over your reputation (or mine). I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.

Right now where did I put my copy of 'The Collected Works of Oscar Wilde'?

That was going alright geetee1972 until that last sentance, you might as well have dressed up as Britany Spears and pranced about Daves office.

You were the kind hearted bloke astride an Orange 5, I was at Peaslake village store eating a banana and smiling innocently, get in touch, perhaps some fudge cake is in the offing?

So next time you two meet are you both going to have a good chuckle about this or is it going to be a very uncomfortable silence and not looking at each other?

Ah he prefers the effeminate ones. I can handle that.

"I met her in bar down in old Soho, where you drink champagne and it tastes just like Coca Cola, C O L A Cola.
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance, I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola, L O L A Lola.....
Well I'm not the world's most physical guy but when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine oh my Lola, L O L A Lola....."

What would be really weird is if he has no idea about what's gone on here. I'd then be in a whole world of confusion. I mean how does one go about explaining a thread like this; where do you start?

Ha ha - just seen this thread.

Believe me - Dave is going to struggle to outrun GT around the Surrey Hills singletrack, so he's going to need other ways of fighting him off!!

Yeah, you lend one guy an inner tube, and before you know it, he's got a shrine set up in his garage, and he's trying to track you down over the internet.

This is a good example of why a chunky, mincing Northerner should never venture South. This would never happen riding in the Peak/s.

Good job you ride and wear camo. 🙂

Oh terrific. If Dave wasn't having enough difficulty dealing with what might be unwanted pubic attention your publically describing me as 'chunky' and 'mincing' (not to mention Northern) are hardly going to rally him to my cause now are they?

Was it really beyond you to use words like 'debonair', 'charming' or 'discrete'?

I think in fact hardly anything else does happen in the north. Its just that you don't all post about it on the internet.

[img] [/img]

Now, if you were a gay mtber, interested in having a dirty weekend of riding (and perhaps some cycling, too), how tempting is that..?

HeiHei is an ex and is still trying to get back with me hence the flattery.

In truth, while I am very good at doing down, I suck at everything else and if Dave ever did want to escape, he'd only have to find something that was even vaguely pointing upwards and I would struggle to stay on him.
