My Wife is looking for a career change from Recruitment to HR.  She has been looking at the a CIPR HR level 5 training course but has also been offered to skip it and go straight to level 7.
I have no clue on this one but, on the off chance someone from a HR team is on here. What are your thoughts? is level 5 enough to jump career without any experience (albeit recruitment has synergy)? Is level 7 a bit ambitious without experience and would you actually benifit from it withough prior HR experience, in other words, working up through the ranks (lv.5 job Lv.7).
Any advise would be much appreciated,
Why not compromise on level 6?
Recruitment guys who's making the move to the darkside here.
Recruitment covers a multitude of sins, so the kind she's doing will have an influence on how easy it is to make the transition.
I'd say Level 5 is enough, level 7 is a serious piece of work and I think without some substantial work experience behind she I'd struggle.
The route I've taken is to move from traditional recruitment agency roles to in house recruitment/talent acquisition to resourcing business partnering. Each step has moved me away from recruitment and closer to traditional HR.
