I'm wondering why the items on my mail order receipt have the word 'mint' next to them?

Yeah, that would seems like the obvious. Except they're new items...or at least, supposed to be.used in mint condition?
It's a PS4 console and when I opened it some of the cabling wasn't wrapped as you'd expect and the thing seems bloody loud! That combined with the receipt has me wondering whether I've got a pre-owned or returned unit.
