Looking at getting a new motorbike in the future- currently ride a zzr600 which is great, but fancy something a bit newer and with ABS. You can get a Bandit 650 or Er6 or even 2007 onward Honda Hornets for aroud the 2500 mark, epecially if I get it early next year.
Any ideas? Its a privileged choice I know!! It will be used for commuting duties too tho', not just a toy.
I had a Bandit 1250GT for a bit. Was a superb tourer for the money. Bought new for 5.5k fully loaded with panniers, top box and fairings. Used it for long distance commuting from Birmingham to York for a year as well as several camping trips and it went to the TT with my brother.
Would happily have another, but bikes are in the toy-territory now, rather than commuting, so I only have a GSXR1000.
Oh, and it had ABS, but I never used it other than deliberately once in a car park to see what it did.
Can't comment on either bike but the Honda dual link ABS is great and saved me and the wife from being a statistic when a van blew a tyre a swiped straight through our lane Holland
