I've heard this before on the radio, though a more normal orchestral version... It's the intro on here:
I know nothing about any music you can't fight people to.
I think it may have been Gabriel's Oboe from the film The Mission by Enrico Morricone(?)
It's not that... But that's really nice, cheers!
Sorry, that's Ennio Morricone.

It is The Eternal Knot by Adiemus
That's the feller- thanks very much!
There's plenty of classical music about fighting, but here's another good thing to sing about.......boozing.
Karl Jenkins really is fantastic, mind you so is the soundtrack of the Mission.
The soundtrack is recorded backwards!
Ah I see a link between Adiemus and The Mission. Oboe.
Hands up all those who know Karl Jenkins is an oboist (past joint president of the British Double Reed Society) and that he was in Soft Machine in the 70s.
I find his stuff a bit lightweight though I know it's very popular. As for Gabriel's Oboe - pass me the sick bag. That native knew exactly what he was doing when he snapped Jeremy Iron's oboe.
