After a couple of very severe reactions to stings over the last couple of years (Both on holiday in Greece) it seems that I may be at risk of death (!) from the little ****ers. An Epipen may be required. Anyone else in a similar situation?

My friend did it obviously meant a lot to him as in his dying breath he handed it to me, I keep it on my mantle piece.

Me.
Mine is for a nut allergy.
I don't carry it all the time, much to my wife's disgust, but I do if I'm eating out.
Only had to use it a couple of times and was impressed by the speed that it worked.

Yep, im in the same camp. They are massive for what they are and, are bloody painful to use. Make sure you get at least 2 from the doc (3 is better). Epipen is a brand name but are one of the best I've had, and make sure you get the right size. I was walking round with 350mg pens for years until the pharmacist told me they were fro kids. I hate wasps

Daughter has one for peanuts, it's just second nature to take it places now.

My daughter carries 2. They fit nicely into a little alpkit top-tube bag.

nut allergy here.

I have one in my car's glove box, one in my work bag/desk, at home obvs and take two with me if eating out. Bit different as I eat the same foods week in week out so limit the risk, not like could be stung at anytime.

If you don't carry one on you make sure one is close to hand, that's my system

Mrs Donald does - for bee stings.

When she first got it we went for a lesson from the practice nurse on how to ue it. You're suppose to put your thumb over the back end and hit the target with the business end but the nurse held it the wrong way round. When she hit the orange, the needle jumped into her thumb and she ran out of the room with the thing still dangling.

The orange was stil edible though.

My son is just about to start carrying his own as he goes into secondary school next week. In the junior school his teacher had it, and they had a second one for him in the school office.

If we’re out and about, we carry it, if he’s at a friend’s one gets given to their parents along with “The Speech”.
