I *need* to print a superhero style exoskeleton for my daughter's teddy bear.
As long as you have the files and don't need the CAD model creating, use these guys:
If you don't have a model, I have access to CAD programs and a free summer!
I know nothing about CAD. But it would be frickin awesome.
Send me some photos and as accurate measurements you can at the below email and I'll see what I can knock up

I've got a mini fabrikator printer and quite a few colours of filament, only downside is print volume is only 80x80x80mm but if cyclohappy can design something with pieces small enough I'd be happy to print it for you.
80x80 might be enough.
It'll take some designing though since it'd have to interlock and articulate, and look something like batman 🙂 Might be easier to start with a traditional suit of armour design.
I'm only thinking of this for a laugh though.. cosplay for teddies... Don't have a lot of cash to spend and it's not a commercial project or anything.
If you're up for it cyclohappy I will take the photos and measurements and do some drawings...
it'd have to interlock and articulate, and look something like [s]batman[/s] iron man
Better- it's a suit of armour, not a onesie!
Cyclohappy, have you seen 123D catch? If molgrips is taking photos anyway you could reconstruct yourself something in 3D from them to work from. Alternatively, see about downloading a trial copy of Agisoft photoscan, that would let you scale it and export as an stl.
Iron man, yes 🙂 But there's a batman outfit that is along those lines in some incarnation or other, IIRC.
There are many design constraints with FDM 3D Printers. This link might help you with that.
I love the fact that no one has asked you why you need armour for a teddy bear! Have a look on Thingiverse, someone may have designed something that might do the job.
I have access to the whole Autodesk suite as a student, so I can use 123D Catch, I've been looking for a reason to use that one all year! 🙂
