Got a Barbour international a few years back but lost a bit of weight since (now very baggy around the middle). Would prefer to get this one altered if poss instead of getting a new one. Anybody had one taken in/altered. Spendy I would imagine if it can be done?

You could try Barbour themselves. They do some alterations and repairs.

Doesn't mention anything about your alteration on the list but it might be worth giving them a ring, their customer service has always been excellent IME.

Yeah - I had my Trooper adjusted at an alterations place in Kendal. They did a brilliant job, you couldn't tell it had been messed with!

Maybe you need to go to a Barber Surgeon?

Go authentic, orange bailing twine round the waist 🙂

No can't help sorry other than to say my Barbour just celebrated it's 30th birthday, brilliant product.

@BFITH - Stitches in central Leeds are unbeatable; there are two alt tailors with the same trading name; I'm referring to the one located at 39 The Headrow, 0113 345 3155.

They done work on waxed jkt, suede jkt, trousers, designer coat and more for me - great service and workmanship.

If you're unsure, call them and ask to see the owner when he's in; I've discussed a couple of tricky alts with him and they delivered.
