My trusty G-Shock was feeing a bit wobbly so I took the bracelet off to have a look.

Looks like the resin lug that hold the bracelet / strap in place has broken on one side.

Has anyone sent a G-Shock back to Casio for repair?

Yes I did, about 5 years ago ... the service was excellent although for a new strap for the same watch I just went straight to TikTox, also excellent:

https://www.tiktox.com

edit: oh yes, that's more than a strap you need there isn't it. I reckon Casio customer services will sort you out.

Actually just been on the Casio online chat and the repair assessment is free. If they can't fix it they will send it back FOC.

Seems fair enough.

Hopefully they can fix it as its a really good watch

I had to deal with Casio customer services over an issue with a g Shock (not a repair) and I can confirm they are excellent to deal with.

What model is it?

I have replaced cases on a couple and they aren't particularly hard to work if Casio can't sort it.

I had to have my metal 35 year anniversary model repaired twice due to failed solar cell. FOC as under warranty and very swift service from Casio.

Spare parts part number on link above, you should be able to source them slightly closer to home from the likes of tiktox or ebay.

I've done work on my G-Shock with parts from these people. Very helpful. Got some bits on special order for me too.

Take the watch apart carefully - you can lose the piezo spring on some of them.

And if you take the mechanism apart completely to say change the LCD, I recommend doing it in a box or bag to catch any tiny springs that may fall out. don't ask me how I know this...
