I'm tempted but it won't work with my current TV (no HDMI socket on it).

I was considering it but they've taken the hdd out of it. It doesn't do anything a ps3 or Xbox 360 can't do anyway.

on the promo stuff it says:

film rentals
youtube streaming
(itunes)music and photos from your computer.

So, er, no support to play MOVIES from itunes??

My Sony Blu Ray player does this, along with BBC iPlayer. Granted I have no doubt the Apple interface will be beautiful - provided you have an Apple computer, use iTunes etc 😆

I guess you would have to compare their feature lists but it would be a first for Apple to be the cheaper option!!!

I dont think it matters that it doesnt have a hdmi socket. as you can just purchase the apple mini display to hdmi cable.

apparently it does matter apple state when you use this cable it will not transmit sound.

so thats crap.

That's what put me off. I've got an XBMC media centre I'm looking to upgrade, but I'd need it to play 1080p and MKV.
