Thinking about buying one, 32" is reasonable on Amazon at the moment, Stuff mag liked the 47" version but not really in the market for a 1800 tv!!

Opinions if you own or have used one only please.

i just got an lg 3d but with the active glasses. i don't know if it's just mine but sometimes the picture lags behind the sound. this happens more on the standard definition channels than the HD ones. don't know why. also it lags behind a bit when gaming which means it is pretty naf for that so i keep the ps3 on the old tv. also the 3d effect on the active glasses works well but it makes my eyes a bit sore after 15 or 20 mins. mine is a 42" btw

FPR is a better technology but has it's limitations due to viewing angle (especially head rotation) and total resolution

LG seem to think they can reproduce full HD though which is cool although i'm not sure how they do this, theoretically it'd require the pixels to alternate their polarization or a 3840*2160 screen res

actually 1080i would be possible with normal res HD screen, 1080p wouldn't i think

From what I have read and heard (but can't find reference for at the minute!), home 3D TV needs to be 42" or above, a bit like HD is a bit of a waste of time below 32", apparently.......

PeaslakeDave, thats what I found after a 20 min demo by Nvidea at this years gadget show. However I have seen a few 3D films now at the cinema which uses 'passive' 3D and been fine which makes me think the LG passive one will be better.

jwt, I will be mainly using the 3D side for gaming and have tried 3D from small computer monitors to large screen TV sets and feel that the 3D side of it is as good regardless of size. It does have a bigger impact on large screen but to be honest the same is for non 3D images as well, I always like to see films on the big screen.
