Can I use it to get sky on another tv in the house wirelessly?

no, it's hard wired

as above, a video sender may work or not or just sometimes work

Video senders are useless - been through 5 different ones and binned the lot.
Sky works easily, not one of the senders allows the remote to works properly without having to mount a sensor in front of the sky box.
And for £10 plus some cable it's a no-brainer

Not had a problem with ours, and yes, you need the sensor so it can see the 'eye' - but that's no big deal. A cable needs to be installed...
