Time for me to upgrade my phone - currently on EE & have been for quite a few years.
I always seeem to be able to squeeze a fairly decent deal out of EE every couple of years, by cancelling / requesting PAC code & then haggling with their Retentions Dept.
But i've just been looking at what is on offer from Sky Mobile & looks to be some very good prices for me as a Sky TV customer.
Just wondering what the catch is??
Has anyone got (or had) a Sky contract who can fill me in on the service & what to be aware of?
Thanks
They use o2 so in my experience they’re pretty much pointless.
But if o2 works in your area I don’t think they’re any worse than anyone else.
Do you need a contract? Smarty are doing unlimited everything for £15 at the moment, 50gb data for £12 and 30GB for £10. 30 day contract on Three's network. Also, if you have more than one you can group them for discounts, hence I pay £9 for my 30GB.
I moved the whole family to Sky SIM only just over a year ago on an amazing deal at the time, £6 a month for 3Gb *but* with £40 cashback on each - so £2.67 a month. They allow you to bank unused data, currently have nearly 100Gb after this last few months! The piggybank can be used to top up *any* of the SIMs on the plan, which is great. I've just dropped us all to a 2Gb plan at renewal, will then just tap into the piggybank as and when. Never going to get a deal like last year, now paying £4.50 per SIM. Had absolutely no issues with the service, I need to use Voda or O2 as they're the only ones that give reception at my office (which I've not been to since March... hmmm).
Pretty much as abovw, wide and I are on SIM only, £15 for both of us combined and we've a decent amount of data in th piggybank for when we're allowed to go anywhere!
Signal seems fine, worked well in France, Belgium and Norway too.
I don't necessarily need a contract / new phone, but maybe useful as my daughter is after a phone so could hand down my old handset. Sure I could sort her something out if I don't get a new phone though
Any experience with Wifi calling on Sky Mobile? My home & work are both pretty poor on most networks so we rely quite heavily on wifi calling.
