Wife has same engine in Audi Q2. It’s just coming up on a year old and has done around 8k miles, mainly urban, short journeys, School run etc. It returns about 40 mpg on that type of stuff. It has plenty of grunt and never feels short of power, even with 4 adults in it.
I've got the 1.0 MPI, it's a bit gutless but we use that car for pootling about getting to work and we have a Peugeot 208 GTI for when we're on long journeys.
The MPI is VERY economical - 55-60mpg no problem at all. The car's nice, we've got one with all the Android auto gubbins which is excellent. It's better built than the Peugeot 208 we also have, it's not rattly.
The seats are a bit flat and uncomfortable compared to the ones we had in our previous generation MK2 Fabia Monte Carlo and Fabia VRS. If you can (i.e. if you're getting an SEL or Monte Carlo) then I'd go for the sports seats.
