So far this week I've had a feast of symptoms but no fever. Kind of day 6 and all is okish, but I'm shattered. Barely able to walk up the stairs. Anyone else suffering?
Just lots of lingering sniffles around the MoreCash household. More of a niggle than a lurgi
Yes the snot has been flowing freely from my 3 kids for a couple of weeks now.
Every member of my family is a viral vector this week. Although spending time with the tunnel-rats in London doesn't help. It's only a cold tho, much as I'm telling everyone it's definitely ebola 😉
Just finished a course of antibiotics for Lymes Disease. Still whacked and don't know if it's the pills, the disease or just lack of general fitness.
Mrs Chipster has glandular fever. I'm steering well clear
I have had a lurgy since August .my Li'l j keeps on passing it back from his little pals.
We call it "the cough that time forgot ".
I had a cold 3 weeks back, the snot filled head and James Brown voice are still hanging around. I feel fine though, just sound as though my voice has broken again.
Same for me for 2 months, could hardly get my arse off the settee. For various reasons I could not get to the docs. I now seem to be getting better, but feel really weak, stopped drinking and cleaned up my diet. Big riding weekend coming up not sure if I will make it, but I hope so.
Yup hence why am making the most of the forum.
Had it since Wed 29th to be precise.
Caught it off my filthy mates family who live in stroud ;-d
Man that place has some filthy hippydrippys frequenting it.
The worst thing is my elderly mum has caught it from being around me!
I missed those lovely last days of summer not long ago die to this shiate!
Not on!
Yep, about a week of general 'meh' but nothing too badI keep on trying to go out on my bike, but give up after the first climb. My rides this week have been 2.5 miles, 2.5 miles and 5 miles. I think I may need a week off the bike 😥
Hmmm there's been something about this year, I feel like I've just constantly went from micro cold to micro cold. Not enough to feel really poorly but enough to feel like you've got a horrible chest when when pushing hard.
I don't feel ill as such but I've lost my appetite and had a wee out the wrong hole this morning! It came as quite a surprise as I felt ok.
A wee hmmm out the wrong hole you say, it would appear you have ebola and must phone 101 for immediate help.
Not been able to get a good lung full for over a week now.
Abandoned last weeks club ride. Didn't ride all week. Raced today and couldn't breathe hard enough to even try to get my legs working.
Otherwise I feel fine which is odd.
Snot and sniffles around here ..nothing like doing a 10 week cardio plan and korean ginseng to keep it at bay for now 🙂 Hopefully the lurgy will be gone in 8 weeks time
Yeah, the ever lasting cough/lung infection/general lurgy here too. I can't remember when it started, but I am on round three and have been for the last month.
It seems to be going now (again) but it has been on and off since sometime in the summer!
Yep weeks and weeks. nothing doc can do for viral stuff. Cold just goes straight to chest.
can excercise fine but stopping results in wheezy coughing.
its those pesky kids I tell ya.. and also all hell will break loose when they give them all the flu nasal spray..
God help those who dont have it .
Yeah, properly knackered this week, cold sore has appeared, oppo shaking like a shitting dog with a fever yesterday so no doubt will have that on top.
Had laryngitis for 3 weeks that played up my asthma so doc gave me some steriods for it which played havoc with my guts.
Also on my second set of antibiotics to try and settle a tooth i've had filled and played up.
Singlesteed - I live 4 miles from stroud! It's your fault you brought it here 😉
I think this one was from a week in London.
About this time last year I had about a week of annoying cold, a couple of days of really horrible eye-watering headaches, and then about 2 months of feeling not really ill but really weak. A 4 mile commute left me shattered and a couple of flights of stairs left me feeling like I'd just come back from a long hard ride.
I was also feeling the cold a lot more than MrsSalmon which is pretty unusual and according to her looking very pale and tired a lot.
Cleared up in the end but didn't get round to going to the doctor so no idea what it was.
Atm's are the source of most lurgies
