I got an email from TSB. Nothing dodgy about it, it was one of their "public education" ones about various ploys scammers use. Up in the header was the usual

We want you to recognise a fraudulent email if you receive one. We will always greet you personally with your name and quote the last four digits of your TSB current account number, or one of your other TSB product account numbers

You say you haven't got an account with them so did you not have any of that?

I had one the other day from TV Licensing, telling me my direct debit had been declined, and asking me to set up a new direct debit.
As I was having problems with my banking app, I thought I’d ask the bank about it, and there were no issues, as my DD’s go out of a separate account which always has more than enough to pay for them, and there hadn’t been any requests since last November, so definitely a hinkey email.
