My Spark controller comes tomorrow, meaning that iI will no longer have to use the phone for anything other than seeing whats through the camera (assuming I'm not wanting to use any of the intelligent flight modes)
With that in mind I'm thinking could I use it with a cheep set of VR goggles? A quick google seems to think I'll need special software, but I'm not sure why if I just want to see whats already on my phone?
ta
yes..I know I'd look like an idiot wearing them..
Know little about drone stuff, but out in the States was watching some guys at a local club doing this. Guy with the controller had the VR stuff, and could see what he's seeing on a monitor. Was pretty cool really. They were doing the same with model aircraft with camera attached.
Don't know how it worked but various transmitter kit on the drone/aircraft and some special software. Might be part of the drone software or additional, don't know. Would have been running on a laptop.
I've seen a bloke flying a drone & aircraft on Ripon racecourse with VR 'goggles' or whatever they are.
Where did you get your controller from - direct?
yeah
