One of the many things ( like pretty much everything TBH) that I loathe about this ****ing godawful Pixel 7a is that thirty percent of the times that I try to scroll up to check something in a thread it seems to refresh the page or bulk delete or something and lose the bollocks that I have just typed.
How do I turn this off?
Ditto when I ****ing try to scroll right or left through stuff and it goes ****in' back to the previous page.

My Pixel 7a does none of that. I haven't consciously changed any settings.
If you over scroll, ie get to the top of the page and keep moving your finger down, then the browser will refresh. Not sure if you can turn this off on your phone. If you are scrolling then scroll slowly, if you do hit the top then you can cancel the refresh by sliding your finger back up before you release
Guess you might want to disable 'gestures' then lol. You get asked about it when first setting up the phone.
I thought refresh by dragging your finger from the top was standard on all android devices nowadays?
I use swipe from the the side to go back, and it always confuses Mrs Ads678 when she uses my phone. I like it though.
I don't know about android, but on Windows with MS Edge I occasionally lose posts.
STW have removed the issue where you used to be able to post to no forum and the post would vanish. In this instance you used to be able to hit the <Back> icon and your post would be intact.
Occasionally I trigger some sort of security bot that lurks within the forum and takes exception at the use of certain word; you end up on an almost black page with Forbidden written in tiny text at the top left.. Now if I go back my post box (but oddly not the title) is blank and the post's gone.
I don't know if the vanishing post issues exists on android (although I suspect it's a site issue) but the next time you lose a post on android you could try swiping back just to see if it's still there (I suspect it won't be though).

Whenever it kills a post for me, it's a nice little opportunity to reflect on the value of whatever I was expending my efforts on... Half the time I go do something else.
I’ve had a few posts disappear recently. Write, submit, little blue bar to say it is processing. The page refreshes… without my post. Never happened previously, nor does it happen on other forums. To complicate things this is Chrome on iOS.
