Going to France in August for a week in the van, call my insurer direct line to get full cover for a few days instead of the standard tpft you get, they say due to brexit they are not doing this green card full cover as you get in UK anymore? Not heard of this, have always done it in the past. Anyone else had this issue? It’s a pretty new van so I want to be sure it’s fully comp insured.

Just checked with E Sure and there is a small fee to get Comprehensive cover for European trips.

Tesco insure you as same as UK for upto 90 days per year, then down to the minimum legal cover. Don't have to inform them.
