For a few weeks now Outlook has been launching, downloading a couple of emails then getting stuck synchronizing with the server and eventually stops responding. I have contacted Ionos my email provider and they have no idea so wondering if anyone knows of a fix?

Yes, if I try and access via Safari on my phone or iPad, but works fine with Firefox on both. Sometimes won’t log on, at other times I can but it hangs trying to open a mail

Webmail?

Outlook is the de facto corporate email client. It's always been gash for regular email, it's raison d'etre is to be bolted into Exchange.

The search function has gone up the shitter on our enterprise version...have to scroll to find stuff now. Affected loads of us across a 3000 user base, ICT scratching their heads.

Not webmail, the Outlook client. So it seems like a common issue then. I quite like using it for ordinary email, suppose I've got used to it over the years. Anyone suggest a good alternative with simillar funcionality?

For corporate use? Whatever your IT policy says is approved on your device. That's likely going to be Outlook or Outlook365 web.

For personal? Oooof. The only one I can say I have really heard of as being decent would be Thunderbird. Linux has some other ones and Mac has Mail, but the market seems to be pushing people to cloud services these days.

@willard personal use only, I've heard of Thunderbird. Might give it a try. Cheers!
