I impulse bought a CX bike on ebay and now have to face the shopping version of the walk of shame. It is too far! I know, I know, I should have thought of that etc. Buyer won't post so I am stuck facing an epic drive (or coach; train is out, its £170).
Aaaaaaaaanyway, any of you lovely folk able to either hold on to my bike for a bit in Carlisle or bring it down please (or take me up or down). Obviously most obliged for any help received. Thanks.
Where does it need bringing to? "The South" covers quite a big area...
I'll be driving past Carlisle to Rugby on Friday if that's any help?
'll be going Glasgow to York Friday night if that's any help.
have you had a look at shiply or anyvan services? You can specify what type of item is being picked up. Ive also had a bike transported by paisley freight a few times.
Hello! thanks for these messages, I am so grateful. I have looked at Shiply but the quotes are more than I can justify/afford. Boriselbrus, I can meet you in Rugby on Friday if you really don't mind and have space in your vehicle for a CX bike? Do you mind if I message you about this?

One thing I did before was contacted a local bike shop and arranged for the seller to drop it off, they looked it over and boxed it up then I arranged a courier to collect.
Paid them £25 for that service, but budget a bit more for inflation.
STW responses.
Half of me is thinking what a great place this can be, helping each other out.
The other half is predicting Wednesday's thread "Sold a bike on ebay, now says he's sending his mate to collect it, am I being scammed?"
Hahaha
If the Boris delivery service doesnt work out, I'm passing Carlisle late afternoon on Saturday, heading to Leicester.
