If so what real world range do you get ? Obviously depends whether it’s a 60 or an 80

thanks

2 miles per percent, bit less in winter, more in summer - that’s in a 60.
Strangely a friend with an 80 also gets 2 miles per percent.  Driving style probably makes a significant difference.

I've had mine for about a year now. It's got the 80kWh battery, and the optional heat pump which improves range when it's cold.

Longest journey I've done on a single charge was 240 miles with cruise set to 70mph. That was from 100% and had about 20% left when I got home.

For local driving it will do 200 miles between 80% and 20% easily.

Long term average 'mpg' is 3.2 miles per kWh.

I don't have an Enyaq, but have an ID.4 which uses the same MEB platform & have looked at the Enyaq as a possible replacement in the future.  Range is affected by temperature a lot more than an ICE car.  Range is summer is better than winter, although winter range is better since the new software went on.  Generally at motorway speeds you should be able to do ~200 miles in summer on the 20-80 in the 80 I'd guess, but probably only ~160-180 in winter*.  If you put bikes or topbox on the roof it will badly affect the range though.

The longest journey we've done in ours was about 900 miles each way (plus overnight stops), which was perfectly doable with a bit of planning.

There is also an i85 now, which has a more efficient motor and better battery tech apparently.

*this is assuming fully loaded car with stuff in.

I order an Enyaq 60 in February this year...apparently arriving next July.

I suspect it won't be, but I'm hoping it is the new look Enyaq with all the improvements...which I'm hoping will give the car a bit more range.

There is talk of the new Enyaq having a more efficient battery usage which should improve the range, so hopefully that is what will arrive.

Got the towball as an option and I'll put the bike on the rear - from what I can tell, there isn't enough space to have the bike upright inside, so the towball will be used.

@DickBarton - no, you can't get a bike upright unless you take both wheels off.

The boot is pretty big, and has larger volume and opening than most other EVs we looked at

The optional heat pump makes the winter/summer difference in range far less noticeable. I think the winter range is ~10% better with a heat pump than without. But unless you're doing long journeys in cold weather regularly, then it doesn't make as much sense.

Me and my wife have quite a few friends and family around 70-100 miles away, so being able to do a 200 mile round trip in winter on a single charge was a key requirement before purchasing. 80kWh with heat pump easily achieves this in the real world.

However public fast charges are pretty good these days on our routes, so stopping for a fast charge and a toilet break and coffee isn't any bother.

Towball is an excellent option for folk with bike racks etc.  And Skoda’s folding one works well - may not work with Yakima racks though due to the placement of the electric socket on the towball neck.

I recommend it though.

I don't own one but had one for a 2 month trial for work.

This was Feb this year so it was cold! I was getting on average between 3 and 3.4 miles per kW. I had it as high as 4.2 and as low as 1.2 with a bit of effort (averages for the complete day). This was with the 80kWh battery.

This was a mixture of motorway/ dual carriage way and town driving every day. I was hoping I'd be able to reliably get 300 miles per charge and it wasn't far off. The days where I was achieving ~4 miles per kW were driving in flat places like Cambridgeshire/ Norfolk and I wasn't in a rush on the dual carriage ways. It took some effort and concentration to keep it that high. If you're happy to stick to 50 on the main roads then it'll do it but from a time perspective, it was almost better to stop, charge it up for half an hour and drive normally.

Just been into the local Skoda dealer today (Kamiq needed battery looked at) and the sales guy just quoted me approx 14-16 weeks current lead time for an Enyaq.

So 330 miles range is a bit of a pipedream then. I’d want to drive 240 miles without any range anxiety - doesn’t sound as though that is likely
