The Shimano brakes on my BMC road hybrid beastie are dying pretty rapidly. They're ten years old so probably not worth fiddling with them. Anywhere you've noticed any deals at the moment? I'm not needing hig end gear, the tyres are only 28c so it will be far to easy to skid with too much power, just a reliable cheap set of brakes if you'd noticed anything I'd appreciate it.

We got some Clarks M2 brakes for our e-hardtails. Cheap (£20-ish per end!), cheerful, mineral oil and they just work.

hydraulics post mount?, the shimano T445 / mt400 / mt401 are £15-17-25 a set on wiggle/CRC
got a few sets to pilfer the calipers, look decent and one set comes J-kit, so pre-bled and ready to fit, i think you can get a left and right between the listings.

Thanks for the advice folks.
Clarks M2 ordered. Front and rear brakes plus rotors spare olives and the like all arrived this morning from Melin at under £60.
I'll try to find time to fit them later.

They're good brakes, fitted them to my wife's bike and was impressed with them, probably ordering another set for my daughter.
