And was the touchscreen faulty?
Maybe.
I didn't buy it, but my sone has one, and the touchscreen (maybe - it might just be Minecraft) goes a bit funny every so often - not very often, but it has a funny 5 minutes - a lock and unlock solves the problem.
I think its a known fault with some of them, mine has the occasional wobble like bokonon's but then so does my phone.
Ours has been fine, so far.
Kids had them for Christmas. Reckon dearest daughter was chubbing about her screen the other day. Will now pay attention and ask her tonight after work.
Up to half the screen on ours is unresponsive randomly for extended periods of time, it seems. Got it yesterday, worked for about half an hour, went wrong, took it back, she reset it, worked for about an hour, stopped again, started working about 2 hours later on restart, worked for a few hours last night, now apparently broken again for a few hours according to my wife.
Doesn't seem to be a reliable fix so I'll demand another.
Yeah there's grounds for a straight swap I'd say! Other than that I'm really impressed with them. Screen viewing angles are spot on and the play store is a joy as everything is nigh on free as opposed to the app store!
Left hand side, yes and the replacement does the same.
To fix it just click it off and on again.
Ill wait til a fix is out and take it back, or a better alternative becomes available and get a refund
Yes, and the replacement was also faulty.
It's as if you're swiping to the right constantly. Takes about an hour to show up after a reboot.
I hope it can be fixed, cos it's lovely. Screen much better than the other budget ones I tried, but a key advantage was the quality of the Tesco cases and covers, for their price.
It's a little slow on loading apps and such, seems slower than my 3 year old android phone, but usable. Cbeebies games are playable but not snappy. Almost stock Android is great though, Amazon can keep their Fire.
