We have the opportunity of a chalet in Chatel over the summer and wondered what the mountain biking was like round there? Any tips/comments would be gratefully received.....

went there last summer - 4 adults, 4 kids and rented a really nice chalet. Plenty of riding for the kids (and the dads when we had chance) and planning on a return trip next year.
Chatel was great but I'm wondering if Morzine will be better to access the PDS system and save a bit of driving

It's a few years since I was there, but there used to be a bike bus from the centre of town up to the chairlifts at the top of the valley, and you could get onto the main PDS network from there if you were prepared to ride a bit...
