We are looking at the Camping Indigo site called "Noirmoutier" on the Ille de Nourmoutier possibly in one of their canvas tents but have second thoughts having read a couple of bad reviews (issues with over crowding and noise in the high season).
Has anyone had experience of this site, good or bad? Any recommendations along the coast - Ty Nadan gets a good write up for a family with 2 young kids?
Ideally, we would like a campsite close to a beach, not too busy but with activities to keep 2 boys aged 5 & 8 happy. If there's any cycling and close access to a small town by bike, that would be good too. The Indigo option looks good save for the possible drawbacks.
Any ideas, thanks
not sure about Indigo, but siblu are very good, and have nice sites with nice facilities
Well if you go with a British company your neighbours could well be noisy, drunken, wife-swapping Brits.
As the Vendée coast goes, Noirmoutier is one of the quiter bits with more old folk and families than lager louts. Check out the site on Google earth to find out how big the pitch sizes are, the photo coverage for much of France was done mid summer.
