My sis is flying in from Cyprus tonight and I have the pleasure of trekking out at midnight to pick her up. It's currently like a blizzard here in the Pendle area and the wind is drifting the snow already. i wondered if anyone might be able to update me on the motorways, M65, A56, M66, M60 will be my route. A56 might be the tricky bit there so I could go round it by going M6
Any thoughts

snowing here in Sale (4 miles to airport). Sticking but to no great extent yet. You should be fine.

I've just drove from Wilmsow to Altrincham. The snow is coming down heavy and appears to be sticking on the main roads. Traffic is moving ok though and the gritters are out. A56 is quiet around Altrincham.

Harry, I like the 'Jam Cams' I've never seen them before. It doesn't look too bad around there right now and I expect it'll be very quiet at midnight, I was just worried about the snow.

Yup. Right now it's a snowy place but motorways should be ok still
