Saw it on Sky the other night. I must have been impressed because I looked it up on wikipedia afterwards and I've no idea why 😕
Had to re-watch the last 10 mins to catch the 'thing' dropping into the sea in the background of some video shot at Coney Island.

not bad twist on the monster movie
bit silly, a few plot holes but at least film makers know what a collapsing sky scraper looks like since 9/11
generally better than most hollywood horror films

Probably some of the most pretentious self indulgent **** I've ever had the misfortune to sit through. Utter tripe.

I watched it and thought it was ok, but I felt a bit sick with all the camera action/wobble...

I thought it was a rather good monster movie. Not an Oscar winning, ground breaking must-see, just a good film.

Guess if they ever release a Donnie Darko / Cloverfield double DVD it should p!ss off 100% of the population 🙂 Both seem to polarise people....

tbh I quite liked it. Not the 'best movie' by a long shot, but certainly watchable (if you dont experience the motion sickness that a lot of people seem to)

Made a nice change from all the rubbish torture porn horror shite of late

Actually saw it at the cinema, not a fan, it was ok when you had the unknown, after that, for me it offered nothing much new.

I thought it was excellent. Nice to see film makers trying something a bit different, even if the overall premise was a little contrived.

I liked it. Thought the monster and it's siblings and indeed the whole idea was very imaginative.

I watched it today; didn't like it. I found the general storyline really boring and the different style of camera work just wasn't enough to keep me entertained.

I thought it was good, liked the low budget style. The script was ok & the story wasnt too bad. It made a welcome relief from all the big budget Hollywood pap.

Personally I can't bear 'handheld' movies, Blair Witch is another fine example. Borrowed it on bluray and failed to see the point of HD with this movie.

Good film, mostly shot by first person with a cam-corder, very watchable,

Did I miss the creature falling into the sea in the closing Coney Island shot? Sloppy of me.

I thought it was enjoyable enough if you went in without expectations but did feel it was ruined somewhat once they let you see the monster.

I did like the little monsters, I thought they were a very good touch.

Certainly not a film I'd want to add to the collection but was ok.

I liked it but i'm a sucker for monster movies.

I watched all the extras on the DVD and the premise i thought was quite good, the monster was basically a baby and was more scared than destructive, so it was probably more to do with how we react to things we don't understand.

or terrorists or something

I've seen worse. Not bad effects. Yes, the plot is full of holes though and the ending's a bit rubbish but there ya go
