Good lady wants lawn edging and it need to be curvy, I want it to be lawnmower compatible. Garden is central lawn with slightly below it small flower and veggy beds all round it and smartedge looks like it would work

yeah we've got it, just in a straight(ish) line though. It's fairly easy to install, but much easier to do it when the ground is wet. Looks reasonably neat and you can mow over the top of it
Waste of time and money. Yes you can mow over it, but it doesn't stop the grass from growing sideways so you still finish up having to go round with the lawn edging shears.
No experience, but I've been recommended Ever Edge - our local National Trust place uses it.
And I can recommend the Filcris flexible edging kits. Just done half the garden with it.

First used it around 10 years ago when we moved into a new house. We created a circular lawn and when we moved house this year it was still looking great.
It keeps the edges straight and even though you still have to cut the edges its easy to do.
Bit of a pain to fit especially if the ground is dry and putting the pegs in is a pain but is definitely worth it.
We have just ordered some more for our new lawn.
