You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
My wife sorted flights and a fancy Air BnB for the Grand Depart as a Christmas present so off to Brussels on Friday, wondering if anybody else is over there and have plans to watch?
Also if anybody has recommendations for Brussels that are slightly off the beaten track, I'm all ears. We're staying near Grand Place.
We are.
Driving over to Bruges tomorrow morning and staying there for a few days, we'll just get the train in to Brussels on Saturday morning for the Grand Depart.
There's a nice restaurant in Grand Place that's worth a try called T'Kelderke, it doesn't look much but the food was really good last time we were there. Only downside was that you came out smelling like the fryer they used for their frites 🤣

This is the best plan; we loved Bruges and absolutely hated Brussels, it was dirty and full of unpleasant scummy people. We even witnessed a fight in the street between two restaurant owners disputing pavement space.
I've got to say, we didn't like Brussels as much as Bruges but it wasn't that bad when we went last year!
I've heard a few friends saying Brussels isn't a nice place but we quite enjoyed it when we were there.
Brussels is just a city & has its good bits and less good bits.😉
I’m actually doing the opposite and leaving Belgium this weekend to come to the UK (to see the WSB @ Donington) 😀
I went to watch the Tour last time we had a stage through Bruss and I’d rather be in the mountains to be honest...(though I did enjoy the stage finish in Gent)
There is a huge amount of visitors expected so plan time for the train. Apparently a lot more trains are being ran to support the demand but that could just lead to even more chaos than a typical Monday morning.
All local public transport (trams, metro, buses) are FOC this weekend too.
