You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
My Jam Heavy Metal speaker has developed a serious fault that renders it unusable. I bought it from Currys PCW last August. Obviously, I've lost the receipt so can't return it to the store.
The unit has a two year manufacturer's warranty so I tried to contact JAM using the contact form on the support page of their website. Not a good start - an error message: Unable to submit your request. Please, try again later.
This has been happening all day.
Just wondered if any STWers have had any success with, first, making contact and then making a warranty claim.

Copy of a bank statement showing the transaction can be used as proof of purchase.
Have you tried approaching the shop in person and politely explaining the issue?
As above, or check in the Jam forums - I think support people use them
Thought I'd update this so as not to negatively affect JAM's rep'.
I phoned the support line, explained the problem and was emailed a returns form.
When they receive the faulty one, they'll send me a brand new replacement.
The guy even apologised for the product failure.
Can't ask for more than that I guess.
Sounds good. Did you ask them how to turn the stupid startup sounds off? 😉

For the Heavy Metal, stick the supplied "paperclip" in the tiny hole in side of the case.
Each press will scroll through the language options and finally it should fall silent.
Remove paperclip at that point.
I've done that to change it from a voice to a loud BDUM BDUM BOOM!, but not found a silent mode. Best I've come up with is pressing the button again on the B of BDUM - that stops the noise without turning it off.
