I realise I should have asked this question BEFORE I ordered one, but it’s too late now.

Please share your real life experiences!

Sure was a thread in here in last couple weeks, the search function may or may not help.
Edit: longer ago than remembered https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/kelly-kettle-any-good/

Yes, a Kelly branded one.
It's great for kids to get a brew on from sticks. With some decent dry sticks you will have a roaring fire with a big jet of flame out of the top - awesome. Gets the water boiled fast and then you can toast some marshmallows.

Yep, Kelly kettle. Lives in the van, generally used when camping to make morning coffee - purely as a pointless ritual as there's faster means of boiling water already set up. It's saved the day a couple of times when I've run out of fuel for the cooker in the Pyrenees on a Sunday evening... I keep a bag of eco firelighters with it (the ones that look like MDF).

if it's just me after a ride or run in the hills, I use a woodgas stove to make a brew - you can never run out/forget fuel - although I often forget the tea. Also used when backpacking, you just pick up the fuel as you go, there's always something.
