You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
It's way too early to try and understand the massive amount of info on the leaflet on a bottle of roundup (its all in l/ha & I've only got 0.2 ha to spray) ...has anyone got a dosing per litre amount they use?
Don't remember the precise amount, but basically I used double what they recommended and those weeds are finished for good.
Is this glyphosate 360? 200ml per 10litres per roughly 200m2. Make sure theres no chance of rain the rest of the day and do it in still conditions. In scotland this means I have about 3 days a year where I can spray my sites!
I've got around 2000 square metres to spray some hard paths and some 'soft' areas.
I think I should be aiming for an application rate of 1.5 - 6 l/ha which according to the knapsack spray info is 50ml per 2litres of water.
The product is Roundup Biactive. The soft area is what I hope to have as a lawn. We bought an unfinished house site and there's never been any work done in the garden.
Whatever spraying you're doing mix at 2% and you'll not be far away.
For direct application ie. Weedwipers etc. 10-25%.
I puzzled over the roundup instructions for ages when I first got it. I use 30ml/L in a sprayer which is a strong mix for general annihilation.
Cheers lads!
Are you rotovating and working the ground before laying the new lawn? Get a harrow or a dragmat if doing it by hand as this helps you get a really nice finish.
100ml per 5 litres water. Probiactive is a basic glyphosate with a few extras, surfactants etc. I'd suggest using some blue marker dye as well so you can keep things neat and not miss any thin strips.
Or just get a company in with the gear already. What sort of sprayer are you thinking of using?
Yep my plan is to spray and leave for 3-4 weeks, then turn over soil and spray again if necessary leave for another 3 weeks then work the soil to a fine consistency then sow seed. Hoping that a small tractor could get in to rotavate it
It's a 20litre knapsack sprayer I'll be using.
