As above really - has anyone managed to get a jab yet?
I notice that the NHS are supposed to be contacting those who are registered as unpaid carers.
I didn't even know I could register as unpaid - I assumed that as I wasn't entitled to carers allowance that was it - I was just Joe Public.
I work a 9-5 job and provide care to my Wife as and when - work are particularly good in letting me WFH if needed when wife is having a bad day etc.
So how do I register? Seems I can either do it through the Doctors or the council - any tips on which is quicker/easier.

Thanks

Yes, my wife of 49 y/o had it a couple of weeks ago. Down as unpaid carer to her mum and my son (he's 20).

Phone the docs, you'll get it quickly.

You'll also go on priority for flu jabs too, so worth letting the GP know. You do it through them.

Wife has had her text after registering as our son's carer, I'm registered too but not had my text yet. It'll come when it comes.  We registered via a local charity and they have passed the details on to our GP I believe...

Same (except am entitled yet don’t claim allowance)

Not sure if ‘registered’ as an unpaid carer, because...unpaid carer! Occupational health know I am as we liase and use advice/assistance/equipment.

Nonetheless, booked in next weekend for a jab, was offered it a few days ago. 54yrs. No idea which vaccine or why offered now.

The Wife had an email from the local carers support / liaison group late last week, had hers on Wednesday.

I’m not officially my son’s carer, she is, but my GP contacted me on Wednesday about booking my vaccination, just coincidence I think. They must be working on my age bracket now. 50.

Yep, 50 here and just got booked in (nor a carer). Wife, whose 43, was booked in last week - different surgery, so they must be well ahead of mine....

Yep about 4 weeks ago - 53. Wife had it at home and nurse who did the injection said she had a spare dose and could do me there and then. Very grateful.
