A week into Clavicle-gate, I've read a lot of books, watched a lot of rubbish on YT, grumped around the house etc. I decided I really should find better uses of my time. Built a new Home Assistant image on my NAS but found building from scratch less thrilling than hoped.

Always enjoyed Sim City back in the day, and had a brief run at City Skylines a few years ago. Part of that random YT threw up Timberborn. I much prefer these games to FPS or the like, so invested 20 quid on a copy for the Mac. Blimey my Mac is quite powerful but it's definitely humming a bit running the game full screen/fast frame rate.

Only played a few hours, but finding it quite addictive. Already sacked off one game having made a series of terrible decisions ending with many dead beavers! Also switched to Easy mode until I get a bit more familiar with the game mechanics.

Anyone else play? Or is it just me and my colony of tree chewers?

I wasn't sure if I was going to get away with any innocent Beaver comments.... seriously removing the, ahem, obvious one handed hobbies are hard to come by especially if you're useless at drawing etc. Javelin is probably unrealistic at this point, maybe the throwing part of Frisbee or all day beer drinking.

Even if typing was a "hobby", it's a very boring one handed one!

Haven't got it but it's in my steam wishlist, looks good.

On a similiar note I highly recommend Frostpunk (not the sequel, haven't played that, looks less interesting to me). All of the scenarios are fairly short, single evening stuff once you're used to it but there's so much variation and so many terrible decisions to make, I absolutely loved it and basically played it to death.

Not one I play in afraid OP but I definitely recommend Project Zomboid to anyone that wants to really live the whole zombie experience!* it's micromanagement heaven and the simplistic graphics hide an amazingly complex game that's genuinely creepy as hell on occasion. Massive modding community too with constant dev updates.

*And who doesn't...😉

Thanks both- Frostpunk does look good, if a little bleak. I need to sharpen my skills a bit first I think!

My current skill is to spend loads of resources building things that I forget to orientate correctly so they can't connect to the paths! Still a few more cycles and I should be able to unlock dynamite, and then nothing/everything could go wrong!
