I'm just trying to draw something simple in 2D in dft document (normally I do 3D then make 2d drawings). Whenever I try and dimension something I can't change it, well I can, but I can't make em dimension driven i.e. changing the dimension doesn't change the size of the object. Plus the 'dimension driven' toggle button on the ribbon is greyed out?
Any ideas?
I use Solid Works which is almost identical. Sounds like your object is over-constrained. Are you sure there's nothing else defining it?
Yeah, that crossed my mind, but I've done a simple test of just opening solid edge, creating a new drawing, placing a single line on it and adding a dimension to it, and it still won't work. I've a feeling that it might expect an underlying 3d model to always drive it, but it's a bit of a pain if that can't be over-ridden.
